2010 started off hectic as expected. Being in the pool business one lives with the insanely busy summer period in the knowledge that the winter months are easier and a time to rest and gather energy. Being nearly 59 I was also faced with being inducted as President of a large Rotary Club at the end of June so I knew that I needed to pace myself to get through the year while enjoying the experience.

On the 4th of March 2010, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The day after my brother died of pancreatic cancer. I had tumors in both breasts. The specialist wanted to admit me immediately to remove the problems. I refused, as my sister had died of breast cancer 4 years previously. I would not go that route...
